What to expect in a Pure Plasma™ treatment session
Although the pain during treatment is minimal, your technician may apply a topical numbing before your Pure Plasma™ session depending on the area being treated. The Pure Plasma™ handpiece is moved across the surface of the skin, emitting pulses of energy targeted to specific depths. These energy pulses cause microscopic injuries within the skin, stimulating the body’s own natural healing processes that deliver increased collagen and elastin fibers.
Unlike the plasma pen, Pure Plasma™ is a non-ablative treatment, meaning it doesn’t break or remove the top layer of your skin. This leads to a shorter, less painful recovery time, while still producing dramatic results.
Sessions are fast and easy! Eye area can be completed in as little as 15 minutes. Larger areas, like neck and chest, can be treated in about 30 minutes.
How long is the recovery time?
Immediately after your Pure Plasma™ treatment, you may feel some tightness and warmth or redness in the treated area, so you may wish to apply a cooling pack to ease symptoms and reduce the possibility of swelling. Peeling will likely occur within 3-5 days post-treatment, and will reside within 1-3 days.
Intensity of effects and your recovery time may vary depending on many factors, your team will review details with you before treatment.
Please refrain from using makeup for 48 hours after treatment, and be sure (as always!) to wear sunblock.
